# Signing Up – Mint Quest ID

## How do I Mint a Quest ID?

**Step 1:** Go to [gg.xyz](http://gg.xyz/) & Click on “**Log in**” button

**Step 2:** Choose your Preferred mode of sign up/ log in from the following options

**Step 3 -1:** If you wish you to sign up via social login, say Twitter, you will get a prompt to authorize access to your social media account. You will get a Smart Account Abstraction Wallet added to your Quest ID account after successful account creation.

**Step 3-2A:** If you selected continue with wallet option, then choose Metamask, you will be prompted to connect your preferred wallet address to gg.xyz

**Step 3-2B:** Next, in the following Metamask popup, click on “Sign-In” to verify ownership of wallet address. After successful authentication, your wallet address will be added to your Quest ID account. You will also get a Smart Account Abstraction Wallet added to your Quest ID account after successful account creation.

**Step 4:** Next, You will get a popup to mint your Quest ID. If you visited gg.xyz via a Referral link, then the referral code will be auto filled for you in the text block. Or you can skip this if you dont have a referral code

**Step 5:** Create a new unique username in the next step. If the username is already in use, please select a different one to continue. **Note:** We suggest using a combination of letters & numbers to avoid conflict

**Step 6:** In the next step, you can choose your Profile Picture. But do keep in mind that the file size should be less than 3MB If you click “Skip”, you will be assigned a “Default” profile picture

**Step 7:** We support JPG, PNG & even GIFs. Once the picture has been uploaded, Click “Continue”

**Step 8:** Last Step. Share your Quest ID on Twitter/ X & spread the word. Don't forget to share your Referral Link/ code for some sweet XP bonus

## I couldn’t mint a Quest ID. What went wrong?

* Username might have already been taken. Unfortunately, you need to choose a different one. Try a combination of letters & numbers for a more unique username.
* Your Profile Picture image size might have exceeded the maximum limit of 3MB. Try uploading a compressed version or lower resolution Profile Picture
